Jing
Born in Shanghai, raised in the UK, now based in Wimbledon Art Studios. I started my art journey at 3 years old (I was enrolled in an art school to relieve my fear of blood).
My art is about cultivating a reconnection to the perfect present.
Our AI-driven world has resulted in a disconnect from the present. We don't intentionally pause and experience the present moment—such as atmospheric changes in nature.
Through an exploration of light and colour in my brushstrokes, my artwork serves as a reminder to cultivate presence in the present.
I work in acrylics and believe secondary colours should be created rather than bought off the shelf. There is something therapeutic, rare, and beautiful about mixing colours and mindfully painting.
Once a month, I hold paint, sip, and sushi workshops in central London. They are beginner-friendly and designed for professionals to recharge through creativity, while enjoying great sushi and wine.
Each month focuses on a beginner-friendly subject such as a fruit or flower, so you can master essential techniques for painting with acrylics.
This is a space for genuine connection and creativity without judgement or perfection.

Most illnesses attack the body
Alzheimer’s destroys the mind- and the process, annihilates the very self

I still remember how dementia slowly eroded the minds of my grandparents.
My grandma was bed bound for the last years of her life and I struggled with the loss of my grandma; a thriving strong woman who refused to bind her feet reduced to a adult toddler.
Though my grandma is no longer with us, her relentless resilience lives in my work and to honour her dynamic spirit, 10% of proceeds from my art as an artist and art practitioner will be donated to Alzheimer's Society.
