The green deck chairs scattered across Hyde Park are one of those small rituals that mark the start of summer in London — the first warm day, and suddenly the grass is full of people paying for a folding chair and a patch of sun. The green isn't straight from the tube, I mixed yellow ochre with prussian blue, that's what gives it that muted, sun-bleached look instead of a flat plastic green.
I love that it's such a small, unglamorous thing, and somehow completely London.
