This mini original artwork explores the things we treasure in womanhood. Perfume and jewellery often play a significant role in shaping who we are as women.
Heritage captures a memory of watching my mum, as a child, sitting at her dressing table with her makeup and perfume bottle. I recall a vivid memory of trying on her lipstick and being scolded when she returned home.
The perfume bottle in Heritage is a classic design, as I'm sure my memory of watching my mother at her dressing table as a child is a universal experience for many. It is also alludes to the we're gifted from our mothers which aren't necessarily monetary but the little quirks that we carry with us.
Maroon-pink takes center stage, embodying the depth and warmth of the fragrance. Scent is one of the last senses we lose — so I wanted these perfumes to hold onto something sweet, something that stays.
